2026 Campus Wide AI Survey
This survey grew out of the work of the College’s AAC&U Institute on AI, Pedagogy and the Curriculum (IAIPC) working group, with a goal to develop an instrument that could be administered over the next several years to measure how the use, attitudes, and perceptions of AI among students, faculty, and staff at St. Norbert College, change over time. The anonymous survey was distributed campus-wide in Spring 2026 and routed respondents to role-specific questions for students, faculty, or staff.

Teaching with AI – Faculty Workshop
Faculty Development and Educational Technology co-hosted a hands-on workshop on January 20, 2026, guiding faculty through concerns, exploration and teaching strategies. Participant feelings of AI grew from Annoyance to Excitement and Optimism by the end of the workshop. Additional data from the workshop can be found below.

CIC AI Ready Webinars
The College participated in AI Ready, a national initiative of the CIC. Participants could attend remotely via Zoom or as a group in the Library. While attendance varied throughout the year, those that participated indicated they found value in the webinars and materials.
AI Digital Fellows
There were eight Faculty Digital Fellows during Spring ’26 who designed and implemented AI-inclusive lessons in their courses. As part of the digital fellowship, participants conducted pre and post surveys with their students to measure perceptions, attitudes and learning with AI. There was a significant shift in pre- and post-survey responses in student confidence. Students also expressed that their ethical reasoning deepened as a result of the intentionality their professors used with their coursework.
